Join us in sharing the joy of the arts and youth!

Arts for Learning Miami (A4L) is proudly exhibiting student artworks, along with photos of programs in action, highlighting local children and youth, various art styles, and the connection between arts and learning!

This year, we celebrated Arts Education Month in March by showcasing our pop-up exhibit, P.L.A.C.E. at various locations throughout Miami-Dade (see below). The exhibit features local student artworks, celebrating 22 years of A4L in the community!

We’re currently looking to partner with local businesses and organizations that would like to be a part of this initiative as an exhibit site. Interested in celebrating with us? Below are basic details for your consideration:- One or more pieces of art on display at your site, installed by A4L team on an easel, or wall if feasible/available.
– Digital exhibit displays for screens available (example, lobby, waiting area).
– Duration: Between now and end-of-year.
– All pieces will contain a qr code to learn more about P.L.A.C.E and A4L.
– Participating locations will be featured on social media, A4L’s website, and one eblast.

To participate, email [email protected].

Dedicated to advancing teaching and learning through the arts, A4L is a non-profit organization and a leading source of arts programs in Miami, providing traditional and arts-integrated instruction, student studio programs, after-school and summer programs, high school internships, and teacher and artist professional development. A4L’s programs augment cognitive, social, and emotional development in children and youth.

The programs also develop creativity, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills, as well as promote positive peer relations and cultivate self-efficacy. A4L partners with Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.

Isabella

Having been apart of LAS for a few months, I’ve learned how to express myself in my art. My artwork is made from oil pastel and it is a breakfast scene combined with my imagination. Thank you, Arts for Learning and Lewis Arts Studio.

Mikaela

As an LAS participant for almost two years, I’ve learned to step out of my comfort zone and try new things such as new mediums. My artworks are made from graphite pencil and charcoal, they are observational pieces. One is a self portrait and the other is a drawing of a house. Thank you Arts for Learning and LAS.

During my three years at LAS I’ve learned about all the elements of art, but I love form. My artwork is made of watercolors and it is a still life from observation. My artwork is made of colored pencil. It is about diversity, which is very important to me. Thank you Arts for Learning and Lewis Arts Studio.

Levi

Throughout my three years in LAS for three years I’ve not only improved my own artistic skills, but also learned to use art as a tool to express myself and visualize my thoughts. This particular artwork is made from oil pastels, it is an observational drawing based on a breakfast of life.  Beyond art as a whole I believe my time with arts for learning and Louis art studio has allowed me to grow as a person.
