Arts for Learning remains vigilant in monitoring the news around COVID-19 and actively follows the directions of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami-Dade County, and our partners.
As always, the health and safety of our staff, artists, students, teachers, and their families is a top priority.
Starting Monday, March 16, 2020, Arts for Learning will temporarily implement a remote work policy. Occasionally, some team members will be in the office carrying out essential finance and operations activities. All staff are available remotely during normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.
Please be aware that many of the A4L staff have young children and therefore, like many in our community who are affected by school closures, they will be balancing work with homeschooling and caretaking activities. We ask that you please be patient and know that our team will respond in a timely manner.
A4L afterschool and preschool programs ceased operation as of Monday, March 16, 2020. Miami-Dade County Public Schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year, at which time a decision to re-open will be evaluated. When schools re-open, we will work with the schools and our partners to resume our afterschool programs.
We know the power of the arts to lift, engage, and heal. While we are all on hiatus for at least the next two weeks, we will need to prepare for the future. Children and families will need us more than ever.
While there are many resources available during this time, Miami-Dade County Public Schools has a comprehensive listing of resources and accurate updates to help keep you informed and safe.
