It’s hard to believe ,but Arts for Learning’s summer camps are starting to wrap up. Now it’s time for our students to show off all of the hard work they have put in this summer at a series of fantastic, open to the public events.

  • Our inaugural group of ArtWorks students will be hosting an evening of performances and a visual art exhibit at the Bakehouse Art Complex (561 NW 32nd Street, Miami, FL 33127) from 5:30-7:30 pm on Thursday, July 26th. This has been an incredible experience for all involved and the students would love to have you as their guests!
  • On Thursday August 2 from 3:30-4:30 pm, come see the Barnyard Carnival created by A4L’s students at the Coconut Grove Cares Barnyard (3870 Washington Avenue, Coconut Grove). You will be treated to a tremendously colorful display of dance and visual art, as well as a special showing of “August in August,” a collection of scenes by the great playwright August Wilson, performed by students.
  • Last, but not least, please join us for our fourth annual Lewis Arts Studio showcase at our new home in  Coconut Grove (101 Grand Avenue, Coconut Grove, 33133), on Saturday, August 4th, from 2:00-5:00 pm.  Enjoy the visual creations of our intensive portfolio prep students, including amazing drawings, sculptures, and the world premiere of a short film entitled “The Rocking Vampire.”
