FAGE Total Yogurt Vanguard Contemporary Art Fair Event Benefitting Arts for Learning, Art Basel Miami Beach

FAGE Total Greek yogurt will unveil three one-of-a-kind FAGE-inspired pop surrealist art works at the First Annual “Vanguard New Contemporary Art Fair” in Miami, December 4-7, 2008. The art works, inspired by the brand’s unique production, creamy taste and ridiculously thick texture, were created by three pop surrealist artists exhibiting at the Fair. As part of this collaboration, the artists will take part in a workshop series "Discover. Taste. Create" with children from Southside Elementary School and Breakthrough Miami enrolled in Arts for Learning after-school programs. A classroom-like atmosphere will allow students to learn from these renowned artists and create their impressions of the world. Starting on December 4th, one of the exclusive FAGE Total Artistry pieces will be put up for auction with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Arts for Learning. A4L Artist Showcase
In the upcoming A4L Artist Showcase”, actors, dancers, musicians, and visual artists from the non-profit organization Arts for Learning will exhibit a sample of the talents they use to enrich the learning experience of students throughout the Greater Miami area. Arts for Learning’s professional artists work directly with teachers and students to integrate the arts into the classroom. On Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Space 4004 gallery located at 4004 NW 2nd Avenue, from 7:00 -11:00p.m., the artists become the stars and share their talents for free with fellow artists and the public.

Arts for Learning will take part in the City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department's 2nd Annual Family Hippity Hoppity Open House "Egg"citement on Friday, March 21, 2008 from 6pm-9pm at Shenandoah Park located at 1800 SW 21st Avenue, Miami FL 33145. Admission is free with a donation of any of the items listed to support American troops: Travel size soap; Travel size baby wipes; Travel size toothpaste; Travel size toothbrush; Travel size mouthwash; Disposable shavers; Disposable cameras.
The fun includes an inflatable play area, rock climbing, snow cones, photos with Mr. Rabbit, craft activities, and face painting provided by Arts for Learning!

2007 National Arts Marketing Project Conference
The Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs is partnering with Americans for the Arts to bring the 2007 National Arts Marketing Project Conference to Miami. Flourishing in the New Frontier: New Media, New Audiences, New Opportunities.
The conference will be held November 2-5, 2007 in Miami, FL. It will focus on technology and new audiences, along with the latest research in the field. Attendees will learn about new media from RSS to PodCasts, blogging, texting, optimizing e-mail, e-commerce, Web 2.0, and search engines. The conference will also include the basics; covering direct marketing, branding, and relevant messaging as well.It’s the conference for arts marketers by arts marketers! Arts for Learning will need to prepare 50 memory books for prospect corporate sponsors and donors.Volunteer your time and learn how to prepare a beautiful memory gift for friends and family. It’s just in time for Mother’s Day gift giving. You can help us by attending this free hands-on workshop and learn how to make these beautifully crafted photo cubes by creating our much needed memory books.

"What's the Connection... between the arts and learning?"
A4L's annual exhibition celebrating the positive impacts of the arts on student learning was held at the Miami Children's Museum from April 6-29, 2006. The month-long exhibit was seen by approximately 20,000 visitors.
Administrators were awarded for exemplary performance in A4L programs during a breakfast at the Miami Children's Museum. The speaker was Florida's First Lady, Columba Bush, who spoke on behalf of the Council For Educational Change to introduce the new Arts Initiative Arts Modules for teachers integrating the arts into their curriculum.
Young Audiences National Conference- Miami
A4L hosted the 2006 Young Audiences National conference in April at the beautiful Palms Hotel on South Beach. The conference was attended by YA members from around the country and featured professional development workshops and lectures, artist resource exchanges, and many social events with performances by local A4L artists and students.
