Meet our 2017 Interns!

These 45 high school students are spending their summer making artwork, developing important workforce skills and becoming more active in their community.

ArtWorks interns are hired to create and inspired to succeed.

Finishing the second week of this summer’s ArtWorks program, they are already hard at work learning to network, write resumes, manage events, coordinating community service projects, developing performing and visual arts techniques and making artwork!

This summer’s ArtWorks Interns hail from: Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Senior High School, Booker T. Washington High School, Bridgeprep Academy of Arts and Minds, Coral Gables Senior High School, Coral Reef Senior High School, Design and Architecture Senior High, Doctors Charter School of Miami Shores, Dr. Michal M. Krop Senior High School, Hallandale High School, Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School, Juanita G. Hawkins Academy, Miami Arts Charter School, Miami Beach Senior High School, Miami Carol City Senior High School, Miami Edison High School, Miami Northwestern Senior High School, Miami Palmetto Senior High School, North Miami Senior High School, South Miami Senior High School, Young Men’s Preparatory Academy, Young, Women’s Preparatory Academy, and Youth Co-Op Charter School.

The Summer 2017 ArtWorks program will culminate in an exhibition and performance, which will be open to the public.
